CryptPad is an open-source, end-to-end encrypted collaboration suite from France, developed by the team at XWiki SAS in Paris. Content is encrypted in the browser before it is sent to the server – neither the operator nor the service can read the documents. What started as a simple editor is now a whole suite: documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms, kanban boards and whiteboards, all collaborative in real time. CryptPad can be used as a hosted instance (cryptpad.fr) or fully self-hosted. For teams with high confidentiality requirements, CryptPad is a European, privacy-friendly alternative to Google Docs or online office services.
