pretix is a German ticketing system for conferences, festivals, workshops, museums, cultural events and many other event formats. The platform combines an online ticket shop, ticket sales, check-in, reporting, payment-provider choice and on-site processes. For Euro Toolhub, pretix is especially relevant because it is open source, can be self-hosted and offers a hosted version with a data processing agreement. The provider communicates GDPR compliance, Made in Germany and ISO 27001-certified data security. This makes pretix a strong European alternative to Eventbrite, especially for organizers who want more control over data, payments and ticket-shop branding.
Note on ownership: German open-source ticketing (rami.io GmbH, Heidelberg). Open source and self-hostable; hosted and enterprise versions with a DPA are also available. The provider states GDPR compliance, Made in Germany and ISO 27001-certified data security. A public subprocessor list and exact hosted infrastructure were not yet fully verified.
